Gli affreschi più antichi della chiesa di San Vincenzo sono quelli dell'absidiola nord, dovuti a Iacopo Jacquerio (o alla sua scuola), datati 1416. Sempre nel XV secolo Giacomino da Ivrea dipinse l'arco trionfale con un ciclo di dottori della Chiesa, santi e profeti. Sopra questi dipinti, scialbati e intonacati, Filippo da Varallo eseguì verso la fine del XVI secolo le decorazioni che ancora si vedono (in parte, e grazie ai restauri degli anni '70), e che a suo tempo ricoprivano interamente la conca presbiteriale. Il Cristo in Croce del presbiterio è opera bronzea di Luciano Minguzzi.
