Edificata nel 1951 su progetto dell'architetto Vignali, è stata affiancata dalla costruzione del campanile nel 1991. La torre campanaria ha una base ottagonale ed è stata realizzata, così come la chiesa, in sasso a vista utilizzando esclusivamente pietra arenaria locale. All'interno la mostra d'Arte Sacra nella Sala Don Bosco, un quadro raffigurante La Vergine immacolata e i santi Petroni e Dionigi l'Aeropagita, olio su tela, dipinto dal Burrini (Giovanni Antonio Burrini, Bologna 1656-1727) nel 1685; è del pari presente una Madonna in trono col Bambino, olio su rame, dipinta da Iacopo Alessandro Calvi (Bologna 1740-1815) che si ritiene fosse presente nella vecchia chiesa demolita dopo la II guerra mondiale.
