La Chiesa Parrocchiale di Châtillon è dedicata a San Pietro, Santo protettore della cittadina, la struttura si presenta con una pianta a transetto con tre navate definite da sedici colonne in granito rosso, cornici con decorazioni in stucco realizzate dal Sig. Luisone di Torino e pitture eseguite tra il 1904 e il 1905 dai fratelli Artari di Verrès. Anche se la tradizione vuole che la sua fondazione sia molto antica, addirittura risalente al passaggio di San Pietro nel corso della sua missione di evangelizzazione delle Gallie, essa viene documentata a partire dal XII secolo. Ben poco rimane della primitiva architettura e l'edificio attuale venne realizzato dall'Ing. Saroldi e dal parroco Can. Ruffier e fu consacrato il 27 agosto 1905. A caratterizzare in maniera distintiva l'attuale conformazione dell'edificio è il maestoso campanile che sovrasta la cittadina e che recenti studi datano come risalente al XV secolo. Al suo interno si può visitare il Museo del Tesoro che conserva alcuni importanti reperti legati alla storia dell'arte sacra in Valle d'Aosta.
