La DB 10001 è stata l'ultima locomotiva a vapore ad essere stata costruita per le ferrovie tedesche DB Costruita nel 1957 andò in pensione nel 1968, sopraffatta dall'avvento delle locomotive Diesel ed elettriche. Furono costruite solo due esemplari. Questo è l'unico esemplare rimasto. Peso 108,9 Tonnellate, suddivise per 22,4 Tonnellate per asse.
