Ritratto rubato a questo Pastore della Val Maira, incontrato per caso durante una gita. Ci stava parlando del suo amore per Linda, un cane femmina che gli aveva salvato la vita per ben due volte, ne parlava come di una collaboratrice al suo lavoro di mandriano e come di una amica quando andavano insieme a raccogliere Genepy selvatico fra le rocce. Un personaggio simpatico e particolare, accendendosi la sigaretta diceva che aveva diritto ogni tanto a respirare un po' d'aria buona. E' stato un incontro molto stimolante, gli abitanti della valle sono in genere molto chiusi.
