Stupendo ritratto! Sorriso

Beautiful portrait! I like how the face emerges from the darkness and the light is gently letting stand the look of this beautiful child / a..Unica note .. I personally find that a little noise 'the left .. maybe you'll look excessive, but I tried to leave all the left "in the dark" with a little 'processing .. Also because, in my opinion, the important part of the shot is also well suited to this type of post, as it has almost wrapped around the face of the darkness . :-)

or you could even cut off ... I guess I did not ruin the final result :-) obviously are the opinion of an amateur ;-)

Sergio

Fulcontact Hello, you're not an amateur, on the other hand have made a very good point.
Let me, however, first of all, to thank you from the heart for your beautiful words: I am very happy that this shot you have moved so deeply.

But we come to your observation: I had also initially thought to clone the lighter area to the left of the face, leaving only the face surrounded by dark. But I discarded the idea almost immediately for two reasons: the first is that I do not like to use the processing except to improve the picture in the strict technical, leaving it as close as possible to the original shot for the rest, the second reason, and the main for me, is that clear zone "justified" in a sense the brightness of the visa, creates a point of light chand goes fully with the light of your face, at least according to personal taste, in short, a bit 'as if it were a window. A face lit with natural light (although in a ger) but completely surrounded by the darkness in my opinion would have made little "natural" this photo.
This is my opinion but your observation Fulcontact remains very relevant.

Thanks again for your comment and a warm greeting. Sergio

Buona sera Sergio.

Good evening Sergio. Nothing technical comments, I do not know. I am moved, thinking of the joy of the child if it could be seen in his mirror. Comes to the light, not the knowledge, but with the innocent hope. William Shakespeare said: But what light opens the shadow yonder window breaks? Oh, here is the East and Juliet is the sun! ----- Hello.
