e penso che nella tua foto è mancata un po di definizione e la luce giusta per fare quella foto, non so che tempi hai usato. Vedo anche del verde tra i cespugli, forse non era il periodo di fioritura massima.
La differenza tra fare una bella foto e fare una foto spettacolare si ha anche con lo studio del contesto in cui vuoi fare gli scatti e aspettare la giornata giusta.
Poi il consiglio di @Agemax lo trovo molto valido, per questo tipo di foto la composizione è molto importante.
