I Rolli di Genova o, più precisamente, Rolli degli alloggiamenti pubblici di Genova erano, al tempo dell'antica Repubblica, le liste dei palazzi e delle dimore eccellenti delle nobili famiglie che ambivano a ospitare,sulla base di un sorteggio pubblico , le alte personalità in transito per visite di stato. In epoche successive, le medesime abitazioni hanno ospitato viaggiatori illustri che includevano il capoluogo ligure nei loro Grand Tour culturali o turistico-economici. I Rolli costituiscono un unicum dei palazzi più prestigiosi del centro storico genovese, specialmente lungo le antiche Strade Nuove (via Garibaldi, dove ha sede il Comune, già Via Aurea, e via Balbi, sede della cittadella universitaria). Ringrazio l'amico Lucio Torri che mi ha prestato la D610.
