Premesso che veniamo dalla pellicola: dove tutto avveniva in fase di scatto...poi la dia la conservavi o la buttavi! Da ragazzino mi innamorai della fotografia e mostrando i miei scatti tutti mi dicevano che ero bravissimo. Prima mostra nazionale: presento 4 foto. La giuria ne ammette solo una! Mi arrabbio e con il mio orgoglio ferito cerco di scappare via...per fortuna prima di andarmene decido di guardare le foto degli altri. Quel pizzico di umiltà mi salvò, perché guardando le altre foto mi accorsi quanto era stata buona la giuria a pubblicarmi quella unica foto! Quella lezione mi servì per tutta la vita, naturalmente in cose molto più importanti della cara fotografia. Senza confronto e umiltà non si va da nessuna parte! Ma in questo vedo che andiamo perfettamente d'accordo.
