La chiesa della "Nostra cara Signora" si erge su una delle sette colline di Bamberga. Bamberga è una delle città tedesche che fanno parte dell' UNESCO ed è una delle poche città che furono risparmiate dai bombardamenti a tappeto nel corso della seconda guerra mondiale. La costruzione fu iniziata nel 1338 per essere poi consacrata nel 1387. All'interno l'assunzione di Maria al cielo del Tintoretto.
