Il titolo della mia galleria "Sono andata in Patagonia", si rifà semplicemente a quello che comunicò insieme alle proprie dimissioni con un telegramma, Bruce Chatwin alla redazione del giornale: "Sono andato in Patagonia". Ho sognato di viaggiare per tanti anni e solo ora posso confrontare la realtà con il mio fervido immaginario. Parecchie volte sono rimasta delusa, era più bello il mio viaggio della mente, ma la Patagonia è stata superiore alle aspettative. Le foto, perlomeno le mie, non rendono assolutamente l'idea delle sconfinate praterie, il vento non si può ritrarre, i cieli sono troppo vasti, le nuvole sono troppo veloci, la luce è troppo forte. La storia è troppo recente.
