Ripropongo alcuni scatti recenti degli ambienti del palazzo perché Palazzo Madama e Palazzo Barolo presentano il primo risultato di un nuovo importante progetto di collaborazione: 36 opere, tra dipinti ed arredi, attualmente conservate nei depositi del Museo Civico d'Arte Antica sono state concesse in comodato a Palazzo Barolo nei rinnovati ambienti del piano terra e del piano nobile per arricchire il nuovo percorso espositivo che apre al pubblico il 16 dicembre. Il progetto, espressione della capacità dei due enti di fare sistema, nasce dalle esigenze incrociate di Palazzo Barolo di arredare le sale del percorso di visita, e di Palazzo Madama di rendere disponibili al pubblico importanti arredi finora non visibili che, inserite nei nuovi ambienti, permettono inediti "racconti". Palazzo Barolo ha recentemente concluso il restauro di alcune sale del primo piano e offre al pubblico un nuovo percorso espositivo che approfondisce la storia della famiglia Falletti attraverso gli appartamenti in cui ha vissuto. L'arredo originale di Palazzo Barolo è andato in gran parte perduto, ma l'articolata storia del Palazzo consente di inserire perfettamente le opere di Palazzo Madama nel nuovo percorso di visita, evocando il gusto delle dimore aristocratiche tra Sette e Ottocento. Per la prima volta, grazie a questo accordo, una parte significativa degli arredi carloalbertini provenienti dal Castello di Pollenzo, acquistati nel 1988 dalla Cassa di Risparmio di Torino per il Museo Civico d'Arte Antica, potranno essere ammirati da tutti. Il progetto di collaborazione conferma la vocazione di Palazzo Madama e della Fondazione Torino Musei di unire le forze con altre e importanti istituzioni culturali.
