La caccia fotografica è come il gioco d'azzardo, ne sono convinto. Dopo ore a camminare nel fango, al freddo, scrutando il canneto alla ricerca di basettini, quando ormai pensavo di tornarmene a casa con le pive nel sacco, una famigliola si è concessa per poco tempo, forse un minuto o due. Dopo che i basettini sono volati via, il controllare le foto e scoprire di averne una manciata di nitide, senza troppe canne davanti che disturbano (o che lo fanno in maniera fotogenica) penso dia la stessa sensazione nel vincere una mano a poker, o qualcosa del genere. Soggetti difficili, ma interessantissimi sotto tutti i punti di vista, questi basettini.
