La cucina del castello provvede i pasti per un gran numero di persone: i signori e i loro invitati, ma anche i soldati e la servitù. Assai ampia, è divisa in due parti: la prima, dove si cucina per i servi, funge da dispensa, con l'appiccatoio per la selvaggina, i barili di carne salata, le forme di formaggio, la stia per il pollame. Nella seconda, separata da una cancellata lignea, si cucina per i signori, con grandi spiedi nei camini, vasellami raffinati, spezie e alimenti rari. Tra le due aree si trova un pozzo, dove attingere direttamente l'acqua per lavare e cucinare e per servizio di tutto il castello. L'ambiente, coperto da alte volte a crociera, è copiato dalle cucine quattrocentesche del castello di Issogne, dei signori di Challant. In fondo a destra, vicino alla porta, troviamo un singolare lavamani;L'uso dei lavamani era comune nelle dimore medievali, in cui mancava l'acqua corrente. Nelle versioni più semplici, erano costituiti da bacino e brocca. In questo manufatto, particolarmente ricercato, l'acqua è contenuta in un vaso a forma di castello, con torrette angolari e camminamenti di guardia. I tetti conici delle torri sono apribili, per poter riempire il contenitore; l'acqua esce da un rubinetto davanti al portale, azionato da un'impugnatura dorata a forma di armato. Il bacile in rame per raccogliere l'acqua poggia su un treppiede in ferro battuto. Il manufatto riproduce un originale del XV secolo, conservato presso casa Cavassa a Saluzzo (Cuneo).
