In a Winter's Churchyard... sent on December 27, 2015 (5:53) by Timk2. 26 comments, 1429 views. [retina]

My quest yesterday to use just the one macro lens on my walk around the village of Britford, included the nicely tumbled-down churchyard. The ultra dull weather required some creative post processing, extra sharpening (to make the foreground stone stand out better, and from the others), increased contrast to the upper and a large amount of vignette. I think the result is rather romantic and very definitely, rather wintery looking. #BlackAndWhite #Churches

I'm not sure about romantic but I do like it a great deal, Tim! Your post processing is very effective! The super-dark elements in the background give a sense of generations further and further into the past.

Actually, I probably do agree with you, not so romantic, after all! I like your observations - I liked how it was slanted at angle and away from the others, like the head tombstone with its marching army behind...

I like your interpretation, too! A powerful image that I suspect could be interpreted in many different ways.
