Indeed, their eyes go right to the subject and not the technical aspects. As with everything, variety and adapting those subjects to the lighting is key - I still recall this site's creator Juza last trip to Britain and he faced poor weather - which I'm sure you know, is the normal in the UK! But one of the few he posted, was one of my favourites, he took down again, after someone moaned that it wasn't up to his usual standard! We don't all live and shoot in sunny Italy or can afford to travel to sunnier climates - I personally developed my night time repertoire to combat this - as I said, adding interest and variety to my portfolio and to my expertise too, of course. |
