Questo giovane di civetta capogrosso (Aegolius funereus) mi osserva con il suo sguardo "attonito" tipico di questa specie. La colorazione del piumaggio degli esemplari immaturi si discosta nettamente da quello degli adulti a differenza degli altri rapaci notturni, dove i giovani, già dopo la prima settimana di vita, iniziano ad assumere la colorazione che manterranno per tutta la vita.
