#Castelli Il Castello del Verginese era una delle dimore di svago della famiglia d'Este, chiamate "delizie". E' situato a Gambulaga, una frazione di Portomaggiore, in provincia di Ferrara. Oggi è una delle poche delizie rimaste, che testimoniano nel territorio ferrarese la grandezza e l'importanza dei signori di Ferrara. Cornice della grande storia d'amore tra Alfonso I d'Este e Laura Dianti, la delizia si presenta come un castelletto ornato di merli e circondato da un magnifico giardino, il brolo; l'edificio fu costruito agli inizi del Cinquecento, presenta anche una cappella privata ed una torre colombaia.
