For those interested in how this image occurred: as an aircraft transits super-saturated air (high dew point/humidity), the faster airflow over the top of the wing, and associated pressure drop, causes condensation to become visible and appear like smoke. As the F-22A flew overhead at transonic speed, I panned with it and waited until he was out in front. At the moment he started to pitch, I fired a three shot burst. Focus was set to 3D tracking.
