La chiesa di San Giovanni, sita nei pressi della centrale piazza Conte Rosso, fu eretta a sede parrocchiale nel 1324 in sostituzione della chiesa di San Pietro; il portale lapideo gotico è sormontato da una lunetta affrescata con la Vergine in trono col Bambino opera di Enrico Reffo del 1895, anno dei restauri della facciata. L'atrio conserva l'affresco della Madonna col Bambino tra i santi Cristoforo, Giovanni Battista e Antonio Abate, attribuito all'anonimo seguace di Giacomo Jaquerio noto sotto lo pseudonimo di Maestro di San Vito a Piossasco, e una serie di scene attribuite ai pinerolesi Serra (la Visitazione, un Santo cavaliere, la Vergine e san Bernardino, le Sante Maria Maddalena e Caterina, il Martirio di sant'Agata). All'interno si segnalano numerose opere pittoriche: la tavola di Sant'Orsola di Gerolamo Giovenone, la Madonna della Mercede o dei Santi Crispino e Crispiniano di Defendente Ferrari così come il trittico di San Gerolamo, il polittico della Natività (1511) e il trittico della Madonna del Consorzio; defendentesche sono anche le tavole esposte nel presbiterio (Santi Lucia e Nicola, Santi Sebastiano e Rocco, Sant'Antonio, San Cristoforo). Il pulpito ligneo risale al XVI secolo. Tra gli arredi di epoca barocca si segnala il dipinto raffigurante l'Incoronazione della Vergine con il beato Cherubino Testa e santa Caterina d'Alessandria di scuola saviglianese.
