Namaste è il tradizionale saluto Nepalese (e non solo) i cui significati possono essere diversi, può voler dire "grazie" o "passa una buona giornata". Bellissima è la traduzione letterale che recita: "riconosco il Dio che è in te"; un significato che mi ha molto colpita per la similarità con "...e Dio creò l'uomo a Sua immagine e somiglianza". In uno dei telegiornali in onda subito dopo il terremoto, ho visto mamme preoccupatissime a far si che i bimbi salutassero e ringraziassero...pur stando sotto ad un telo di plastica...
