http://www.geniusloci.photo/?p=3820 L'immaginazione trasfigura, inventa, consente di andare oltre la concretezza dei contesti con attribuzioni di significato nuovi e imprevedibili: ogni singolo aspetto di ciò che vediamo si dilata, aprendosi a contenuti attinti dalla nostra sfera emotiva. Nuvole basse e lente di un tardo pomeriggio senza vento non lasciavano presagire alcunché di promettente e la mia residua speranza di sfruttare la luce del tramonto era ormai ridotta al lumicino: la collina alberata su cui mi trovavo pareva piatta, smorta e priva di attrattiva. Ma quello sapevo essere un posto speciale, un luogo nel quale nel corso degli anni avevo notato che, in tarda primavera, stormi di fringuelli erano soliti cacciare insetti. Il fringuello e' un volatile granivoro, ma in questo periodo dell'anno non disdegna di integrare la sua dieta con insetti che riesce a catturare con grande abilità. Nugoli di moscerini volavano qua e là tra gli alberi. Dopo aver allestito un capanno mobile, ho sistemato due flash fuori campo, regolati da un radiocomando, e li ho dotati di gelatine colorate per simulare la luce calda e radente di un tramonto che quel giorno sapevo sarebbe stato avaro di luce. Una breve attesa ed un fringuello si é posato su un albero vicino: ha cominciato a catturare insetti sul tronco lanciandosi, di tanto in tanto, sulle nuvole brillanti di moscerini che sembravano danzare davanti a lui. Ne catturava più di una ad ogni volo concitato: potevo sentire il suo delicato sfarfallio d'ali. Gli insetti, come stelle luminose, si muovevano ricamando voli concentrici e regolari. Ad ogni incursione questa sorta di "firmamento" veniva spogliato di qualche stella, poi di intere "costellazioni" fino a quando, poco alla volta é rimasto solo un piccolo cielo vuoto, scuro e silenzioso.
