Non è facile far rendere al meglio il BW nella fotografia naturalistica. Deve essere fatta bene come in questo caso. L'occasione è spesso data dalla luce e dai forti contrasti con la garzetta, notoriamente molto bianca e la vegetazione verde scuro riflessa nell'acqua. La fortuna di avere il soggetto col piumaggio arruffato, la presenza del tronco/coccodrillo come punto di interesse al servizio della composizione e la bravura del fotografo a cogliere il momento e comporlo in un'immagine interessante e ben bilanciata.
It is not easy to make the most of the BW in nature photography. It must be made as well in this case. The occasion is often given by light and strong contrasts with the egret, notoriously white and dark green vegetation reflected in the water. Fortunate to have the subject with plumage ruffled, the presence of the trunk / crocodile as a point of interest at the service of the composition and the skill of the photographer to capture the moment and dial in an interesting image and well balanced. Sono stata costretta a riprendere in mano la mia vecchia D80 ed è proprio per questo che, utilizzando un "mezzo" di qualità inferiore ed essere riuscita comunque a scattare una buona foto...beh... mi sento ancora più gratificata.

Paul, your comment flatters me a lot. I thank you very warmly. I am doubly happy because I went to the Camargue demoralized because I had just stolen the camera. I was forced to take up my old D80 and it is for this reason that, by using a "middle" of lower quality and have still managed to take a good photo ... well ... I feel even more gratified.
