Una delle ultime fabbriche che ancora resistono nel quartiere Bicocca di Milano, fino a gli anni '80 occupato in gran parte dalla Pirelli. In seguito, con la delocalizzazione della produzione, il quartiere ha subito una profonda trasformazione che ha visto la realizzazione di un grande complesso residenziale e nascere il Polo Universitario di Milano Bicocca frequentato da migliaia di studenti. Inoltre vi hanno sede diverse aziende importanti.
