Questo paesaggio si apre davanti ai miei occhi dopo un valico, siamo a circa 4500 mt.La strada è quella che va da Darchen a Zanda. Quest'ultima è una piccola città anonima e polverosa , un Tibet diverso, particolare, un deserto roccioso molto aspro ,e ancora poco frequentato da turisti. Qui un tempo sorgeva il regno di Guge un importante punto di passaggio per le carovane dei commercianti che dalla Cina andavano in India o viceversa. Oggi si possono visitare le antiche rovine del monastero di Tholing e la fortezza di Tsaparang e godere di scenari veramente unici.
