Gli arazzi presentavano una significativa alterazione dei materiali costitutivi, provocata dal tempo, dall'uso e dalle precedenti condizioni di esposizione, non adatte alla conservazione delle fibre. Il restauro è stato diviso in due aree di intervento: da una parte si trattava di reinserire nell'ordito e nella trama i materiali mancanti, dall'altra si doveva rimediare alla presenza dannosa di alcuni precedenti interventi di rammendo. Il restauro e il riallestimento della sala sono stati possibili, come spesso succede da noi, grazie al contributo della Consulta per la Valorizzazione dei Beni Artistici e Culturali di Torino.
