Vi propongo tre scatti eseguiti all'interno di Santa Maria delle Grazie, una splendida chiesa di Varallo Sesia. Sono entrato in verità per accertarmi dell'eventuale possibilità di scattare qualche fotografia alla famosa Parete Gaudenziana ed anche per verificare quanta luce vi era disponibile. Con l'intento di ritornare in seguito col treppiede, se mai avessi avuto il permesso di fotografare, mi sono ritrovato all'interno con la Parete ben illuminata (luce con faretti che si accendono previo pagamento con monetine!) e completamente da solo (a parte mia moglie). Così mi sono trovato per incanto con la fotocamera in mano e il grandangolare montato, curioso anche di mettere a dura prova il Tokina. Nonostante le poche immagini e convinto del magro bottino, ho poi constatato sul monitor della bontà di questi pochi scatti, rubati penso alla casualità, visto che fedeli e turisti non mancano mai in questo magico luogo sacro. Chiaramente dopo alcuni minuti di piena solitudine, sono giunti altri visitatori ed anche una suora che mi ha consigliato, dato il mio interesse fotografico, di acquistare il volume dedicato a questa chiesa in cui la Parete è la star indiscussa. Per coloro che sono interessati alla storia di questo gioiello dell'umanità, consiglio di visitare l'amico Asso52, dove Enrico ha ben commentato la sua immagine della Parete con un'attinente ed interessante didascalia. Immagino che la lunghezza focale di questo obiettivo e il suo peso, abbiano dato una mano ad ottenere una buona nitidezza nonostante l'assenza del cavalletto e con tempi alquanto bassi. Ho usato tre iso differenti, anche perché lo splendore è poi crollato dopo che l'illuminazione temporizzata era terminata! Una curiosità! Secondo il Vangelo di Giovanni (Vangelo secondo Giovanni: 13,1-15), la Lavanda dei piedi è avvenuta all'inizio dell'Ultima cena, mentre qui i due momenti liturgici sono invertiti.
