È un'anomalia del Becco. Negli uccelli, anche se molto raramente, può capitare che il becco cresca in maniera anomala e le cause possono essere diverse, dall'aberrazione genetica, oppure in seguito a traumi o ancora come conseguenza di malattie virali. Il più delle volte gli esemplari non sopravvivono, ma, nel caso in cui l'anomalia non comprometta la possibilità di alimentarsi, allora possono condurre una vita pressochè normale.
