Il problema è che nelle giornate di forte vento il fuoco è sovralimentato e raggiunge prima gli arbusti e poi gli alberi. In questo caso l'intervento dei vigili del fuoco è stato indispensabile, anche perché a poche centinaia di metri da lì sorge l'importante Santuario di Oropa, che sarebbe stato minacciato dalle fiamme.
