Thanks Steff. Good observation. This particular bird is a regular at the wetlands where I shoot. There is a fair amount of foot traffic in and around this area so he is fairly used to people walking the trails. I have also noticed that when a hawk is on the ground and is attempting to subdue prey, he can be somewhat oblivious to people moving in closer. And some hawks seem to be more comfortable around people than others. Wally
