Alcuni mesi fa, durante una vacanza a Foligno, mia moglie si infilò in quel negozio di calzature (strano....!!!) sulla sinistra della foto.
La titolare, molto affabile, ci raccontò della paura avuta durante l'ultimo terremoto e ci mostrò il torrione del municipio, da poco restaurato, che rischiava di sfracellarsi al suolo durante il terremoto.
Inoltre ci informo che quell'anello sotto l'arcata, serviva, nei secoli passati, per appendervi i malandrini e lasciarli al pubblico ludibrio. :-P

Grazie Razius per l'apprezzamento! Conosco la titolare del negozio...molto carina e affabile come dici tu!! Per il terremoto del 1997 è stato per tutti noi folignati un incubo!! Si dormiva fuori e il torrino purtroppo è caduto (una parte)...ripreso da tutti i Tg locali e non. La parte sinistra della foto rappresenta il passaggio tra palazzo Trinci e la cattedrale. La famiglia Trinci durante i periodi di guerra si rifugiava nella chiesa tramite quel percorso. Verissimo li si svolgevano anche atti punitivi allucinanti!! MrGreenC' è una botola che si apriva per impiccare i malandrini e tutti potevano vedere!! Una buona serata!!:-P;-)
