bho ..... Simo .... when we felt as soon as you're back, how I described the situation, I really thought that I had not brought home any connection if not some "memory" ... then you begin to post them and I think, or do you take me for c ... or:-D or the altitude and the jet-lag you r×to and then you told me to inaccuracies ..:-D:-D

also said that this is wonderful, wonderful ... you tried a line that leads the eye right where you wanted, being enchanted on those beautiful mountains in the background !!
talented.
now I try to tell you two things ..
1) I think I'm around to see a pile of too much post more 'forced dunes black .. they are a bit too "drawn" and have less detail than the rest of the photo. 99su100 were so 'in the raw, but I have a feeling that at this point you there abbia worked better.
2) have also tried a vertical cut? follow that because black crest with a diagonal that leads to the background could be beautiful, what do you think?

Hello gianluca

I think I'm around to see a pile of too much post more 'forced dunes black .. they are a bit too "drawn" and have less detail than the rest of the photo. 99su100 were so 'in the raw, but I have a feeling that at this point you have worked there more.

but you you read the previous comments or not?
Massimo
"I especially like the crest of the first floor"
Cesco
"I really like the foreground with the dark sandy ridge"
me too and it's the part that I tinkered more in the post, trying to jump out of the whites and blacks of the shadows of gravel to give more shape to the "dune" the original raw is much more homogeneous.

definitely post there and it shows you know very well that I do not hide behind a finger, I did it on purpose, as always giving my own interpretation as far as you can give to such an image without falling into too heavy processing Then, as always, goes to gusti.il Raw is definitely more sober you send it in MP (just to avoid the usual bullshit from the forum know what I mean;-))

have also tried a vertical cut? follow that because black crest with a diagonal that leads to the background could be beautiful, what do you think?

the bud you this in no way whatsoever:-D:-D:-D but only because it is the background that says nothing, look at it without the tip of the volcano that stands out from the rest ORIzzonte would not have been the same thing, only the line of the ridge of black sand would have resulted in a rather anonymous point is not it?

Gian hello and thank you for expressing your concerns know that makes me only pleasure, it gives me the opportunity to talk a little bit about photography

of course I read head:-D !!! I just wanted to tell you that, unlike your "usual", this is most noticeable in the hand. I did not say that it is bad mind you .. I like it a lot and knowing what you're careful to "push" do not overdo it (what you always say you should feel the post but do not understand:-D) I made you note ..
keep up your raw've been toying around them and then sell them to me for my:-D:-D:-D

you this in the bud more assolutaMrGreenMrGreenMrGreen but just because it is; just the background that says nothing, look at it without the tip of the volcano that stands out from the rest of the horizon would not have been the same thing, only the line of the ridge of black sand would bring in an impersonal point is not it?
after you've written came to my mind .. but since it was not the place I thought there was something interesting on the right .. but I realized that there was:-D: - D

Gian hello and thank you for expressing your concerns know that makes me only pleasure, it gives me the opportunity to talk a little bit about photography
always !! :-D:-D;-);-)

I agree with Gianluca, luckily you had gone wrong with the light ..
I find the compo WONDERFUL, truly a sight to follow the line of the dune and dwell on the details of the background.
The post you've managed really well, the light in the background is real .. even the fact of not saturate too has left intact the atmosphere including the haze that I love and that sky is rendered so valuable 8-)
Perhaps the only small indeed is the contrast of the bottom-right, I lightened the shadows a hair in order to standardize and make more neutral that area, but it is a detail that falls into the personal taste;-)
Great job Simon, these are shots that will enrich and is a pleasure to admire and learn ..
A greeting,
Joseph

No, no, now that you mention it you're absolutely right, if you focus on the line and walk along with the eye will not notice much, but what if after arriving at the top of the volcano you sit and admire the picture in its entirety one eye is disturbed by that corner more often scuro.Io apply the filter nik Darken / lighten center, I need to concentrate light at a particular point in this case the valley on sx..forse the consequent vignetting Giuseppe me fregato.Grande you pointed out a very interesting thing, I'll keep this in the next few shots, I like the vignettaura molto but in this shot where the shadows are all very open I played a bad joke even though I know perfectly well that there is nothing serious:-D

Hello Photo extremely pleasant and delicate. I agree with Max's nice when the picture reaches the strings of emotion and your offers of very pleasant sensations.
Congratulations and good evening.

Beautiful scenery, amazing in everything for us, again and framed very well with the semicircular ridge that goes first to the right and then to the left takes you back to the mountains kissed by the last rays.
More than the technical (but the skill and the extent to PP are out of the question) here is the atmosphere to become the main protagonist.
Congratulations!
Hello:-)

The shadows that invade the areas abandoned by the sun begin to be tinged with blue and form a nice contrast to the warm glow of the mountains still patrolled by the sun.
It looks like a desert area, with dark volcanic sand and hills burned. And 'so?
Always very good.

It 's true, in this photo lacks only the smell of the air, but thankfully years later still remember it; and just from that dune, down to the off-road race that took us back to S.Pedro. Excuse the moment of nostalgia-(but beautifully filmed revisit those places you did me a great pleasure-) Congratulations on the quality of the photos taken with competence.
Greetings, Claudio.

Giuseppe, Claudio, Apiz, Raffaele, Ermanno
thanks for the nice comments

Giuseppe
It looks like a desert area, with dark volcanic sand hills and burned. And 'so?

Certainly, we are in the salar de Atacama, round vullcani extinct but that over the millennia have certainly affected the landscape circostante.Qui in summer it gets to 50 degrees and it almost never rains if not a few days in December and January if I remember correctly.

Claudio
over the air, it also lacks the cold as soon as the sun goes down, not so much on the hills around here but ... I'm glad you've reminded those places

Ermanno
Is he the effect of the rarefied air?!? MRGREENMRGREEN

or what I chewed:-D:-D:-D

In previous comments was already dissected every aspect of the image and I find it difficult to add something.
The scenery is gorgeous and the pictures certainly enhances the magnificence thanks to the delicate colors and the beautiful composition, which has skillfully exploited the line of dunes and ridges. The post seems to me excellent. Only compliments and a little 'healthy envy for your trip.

On the way towards a new dawn and sunset, new life, a new adventure. I'm on your gray whale and unlike Pinocchio are not in the stomach but on the back of the gray whale that is taking me to safety. Although the journey will be long and jagged a rosy horizon bodes well, found the way and the confidence you can tackle the remaining obstacles to recapture the serenity needed to deal with the interrupted journey. Beyond the dreams still a show of landscape as if it took to the mountains on the horizon it could be compared to a glimpse of the moon. Woe to you if you do not invite me when will project all the photos in that of Carpaneto. A warm greeting, hello Simon.
Riccardo
