Tra le calli di Chioggia si trova la “Vecia Casa” di Jackie Tonight, al secolo Ferdinando Villan, un personaggio incredibile, leggendario e reale, un giocatore incallito di poker che si è ravveduto. Madre napoletana, nonni cecoslovacchi, dopo la morte del padre da giovanissimo a cominciato a girare per l'Europa tra casinò e bische clandestine, giocando a poker, vincendo e puntualmente perdendo delle vere e proprie fortune. Ha avuto vari locali (bar, ristoranti) in diverse città europee anche questi vinti e successivamente persi al gioco. In Germania ha conosciuto sua moglie, calabrese, dalla quale ha avuto un figlio, con lei è tornato alla Vecia Casa di Chioggia, qui per diversi anni ha gestito un ristorante “sui generis”, dove si mangiava dell'ottimo pesce e quando si chiedeva il conto lui rispondeva “dammi quello che vuoi”. La Vecia Casa è una raccolta dei tanti oggetti che Jackie ha messo insieme nel suo peregrinare per l'Europa. Si possono trovare quadri antichi, un trono, una bara come panca, un'armatura nel bagno. Varie personalità famose lo vanno a salutare, tra questi Massimo Ranieri e Tinto Brass. Ora racconta, con la sua cantilena chioggiotta, alle persone che vanno a trovarlo, e sono tante, le sue incredibili avventure; ti apre la porta della sua casa e te la mostra con orgoglio, sempre amichevole ed ospitale. A Chioggia gli hanno dedicato persino una canzone /tormentone.
