La storia del Raduno Internazionale dello Spazzacamino ha radici profonde, in Valle Vigezzo. Da questa valle alpina al confine con la Svizzera intere generazioni di emigranti spazzacamini partirono verso Francia, Germania, Austria ed Olanda: i loro sacrifici furono enormi, ma fu nel 1800, con lo sfruttamento dei bambini, che si scrisse una delle pagine più nere di questo rapporto tra uomo e fuliggine. Un mestiere antico, quello dello spazzacamino, che oggi viene celebrato grazie ad un evento unico al mondo in grado di richiamare ogni anno migliaia di visitatori da tutto il mondo
