L'economia del paese è di carattere agricolo; il prodotto principale di questa zona è" l'insalata di Lusia", che nel 2009 ha ottenuto il riconoscimento del marchio europeo IGP ; unica in Europa. Una foto era doveroso farla a questa umile ma anche preziosa verdura.
