at 17mm, 1/125 f/18.0, ISO 200, tripod.

ciao e grazie ancora.

Thanks Max's positive comments on the edge of "too good":-D. Even to me like the sun so again, I would rather do it when he was a hair lower but that cloud is seen in a few seconds time limit and hid everything. Easing the flare:-D and lens, a little less for me.
hello and thank you again.

Mah valli a capire te sti canonisti!MrGreenMrGreenMrGreen

Ciao e complimenti
Simone

Bravo Max, for me in your best if not the best landscape photos that you have done so far.
Beautiful for me the first floor with the "ears" to log on from controluce.Mi I would still approached a little closer to the ridge and framed under rocks, I see far too intrusive.
excellent shot and beautiful scenery, for the sun I agree with Max, the only thing that puzzles me is all that flare that you came .. but the 17/40 should not be the lens flare if you ate ? and in my discussion on the blog have taken a lot of Canon users who defended it to the hilt tratta.Mah valleys understand you sti canonists! :-D:-D:-D

Hello and congratulations
Simone

strategic compliments for the photos, I think the flare there is great and helps to warm the atmosphere and give an idea of ??the depth of the scene. I saw a beautiful blue sky. double exposure? why ISO 200?

Ciao, Carmelo.

Apart from the flare (lens .. not your fault ..:-D) really is a very nice shot with good light ..
Hello, Carmel.

@Gianluca
@Sergio
@Cesco
ciao e grazie ancora a tutti

Thanks to all the speeches!
@ Simon: to have fewer close-up I would have to move but I would have taken more grass, I was undecided whether to move back and still get to do the whole clump of wildflowers in the lower left but it was really too much. For the flare I do not know what to tell you, with direct sunlight this goal makes me come around (maybe it's my busted, I do not know, I have bought used last autumn). Thanks for the compliments, writing that it is one of the best means that I learned something in the last year.
@ Indianajones: single exposure, the sky was very clear even though I gave him a "hand" (small) with center filter, ISO 200 at f16 because it did not satisfy me nor will the sun 'focus, I raised the ISO to still keep a fast time and stop the grass, there was a little wind (I was still at high altitude without caps)
Gianluca @
@ Sergio
@ Cesco
I have not been lucky with the colors of the sunset, but this light was really nice
@ Carmel: for the flare, if I were a little more capable in PP, maybe I could take them all; you have no idea how many there are on Raw ...
hello and thanks again to everyone

Complimenti, ciao.

Very nice to me you did a great job of making it interesting a scene quite common in those conditions the 17-40 suffers a little 'flare .. but try the 24-105 with a similar light ;-)
Congratulations, hello.

ciao e grazie ancora.

Thanks Catherine's passage and comment; to flare the only comparison I can make is with the Tamron 24/70, which suffers much less against the sun, sideways them to zero while the 17/40 also suffers from them in that position. But I'm happy and I do it enough, when I can take them off when I can not do because they are too large or difficult positions, I keep them:-D
hello and thank you again.

Pull back again absolutely no, I meant to frame the case, then small movements to optimize your shot to rule out any interference on PP are to be evaluated at momento.Il my crop is only to give an idea .. for me it is more balanced and first floor you let calmly toward the sun without having to do the pole vault ;-)

ciao ancora :-P

@ Giani, thanks for the positive comment, glad you liked it.
@ Simone, not bad, not bad ... so would approach even more the beam at the bottom that I liked a lot but you can hardly see ... not bad ... we work, perhaps raising those tufts that emerge from below .
hello again:-P

Massimo, scena ottimamente resa.
Ciao
Massimo

Maximus, scene very well made. I agree with Simon on the version with less rock in the foreground (the bottom is in the shade and I guess you had to also recover details ...). ;-) Very good light management. For the flare believe there is little to do, especially not being able to use the lens hood because of the presence of GND.
