Fotografare un rapace notturno col lampeggiatore significa, nel caso in cui guardi in camera, renderlo temporaneamente cieco per un periodo variabile dai 5 ai 10 minuti, con tutte le conseguenze del caso.
Nella malaugurata ipotesi in cui si opti per un secondo lampo in tempi ravvicinati si potrebbero addirittura causare lesioni irreversibili a carico delle cellule della retina, la quale presenta una struttura peculiare essendo ricca soprattutto di bastoncelli, cellule queste particolarmente sensibili alla luce e pressoché incapaci di distinguere i colori.
Sicuri che ne valga davvero la pena!
