Probabile era solo uno spuntino pomeridiano. 
Il leopardo è sceso velocemente dall'albero da dove aveva avvistato le prede. In pochi secondi si è avventato su di loro. La scena è avvenuta dietro un cespuglio. Abbiamo solo sentito i lamenti della povera preda ...

Ne avevo postato una simile senza crop.
In questa si vede meglio lo sguardo e le ferite sulla preda. Anche se non si vede il leopardo è senza l'occhio sinistro.

Mi ricordo l'altro scatto: il crop secondo me lo migliora inoltre si intuisce meglio la ferita sul lato sinistro del muso e questo non può che rendere ancora più interessante questo esemplare.
I remember another shot: the crop in my opinion the best you can imagine also improves the wound on the left side of the muzzle and this can make it even more interesting this specimen. La mangusta è velocissima, sta in gruppo ed è sempre all'erta non è facile catturarla anche per un super predatore come il leopardo. Per questo il documento è notevole. Il crop si vede. Dai colori intuisco una giornata piatta e senza luce.

@Paolo, hai ragione la luce era bruttina e poca, era pomeriggio tardi. Il crop è per mostrare meglio la preda. Nella galleria c'è anche la foto intera.

Il primo giorno al Mara mi ha riservato questo spettacolo. Un po' lontano, ma pazienza. Il momento della cattura non l'ho visto perché era dietro un cespuglio ma ho potuto sentire i lamenti della piccola preda.
