Questa è una condizione limite,secondo me,dove ho cercato il massimo ingrandimento e, con il capo e becco in quella posizione forse nemmeno f32 sarebbe stato in grado di coprire dalla punta del becco alla nuca. |

Non siamo a conoscenza neanche di quale diaframma hai utilizzato e quindi non sappiamo se avevi margine per chiudere il diaframma senza incorrere nella diffrazione.
Pur comprendendo il tuo progetto (no crop e massimo ingrandimento possibile) è secondo me evidente che si rischia di avere anche tanti compromessi, a volte non felici .
-Se tu avessi usato un 600mm a f.11 a 2,5 metri di distanza avresti goduto di una pdc di circa 6/7 millimetri
-Se tu avessi usato un 600mm a f.18 a 2,5 metri di distanza avresti goduto di una pdc di circa 10 millimetri
-Se tu avessi usato un 510mm (300mm+1.7x) con le stesse condizioni di ripresa ma chiudendo a f,18 avresti avuto una pdc di c.a. 15 millimetri
-Se tu avessi usato un 510mm ma su nikon d700 sempre f.11 e a 2,5metri avresti ottenuta una pdc di c.a 14mm
Come vedi a volte conviene eccezionalmente ritagliare/croppare e usare una focale eq.te al formato 35mm più corta.
