Thanks Felux69,
in fact I was happily surprised myself by the outcome of this shot.
Do you think that between the lens and the subject was also obvious that the safety net-
mind is completely blurred.
I am increasingly convinced that the old goals still have something to offer
on modern digital.
A cordial greeting, Antonio.

Thanks Joe.
You must really love the catadioptric. You're one of the few who noticed also the technical aspect
of the recovery.

Friendliness, Antonio.

Bravo, it's not easy to get this quality with 500 catadioptric.
I think that I took the same subject at the zoo using the new 300 f4e Tc + 17 E II.
(The trip, if you want to see the comparison, you find it in my "bio-park" gallery).
I do not know what has affected the post-production, but the result is truly remarkable, congratulations !!! ;-)
I put for sale this lens, but look at this shot, I almost an afterthought.
I snapped with 1/500, but the definition is less. Hello Carlo

Ciao Carlo.

altri scatti molto buoni, specialmente in b/n.

Un cordiale saluto, Antonio

Antonio thanks for your comments. The photo of the tiger is no polarizer, I increased a bit 'the contrast and the brightness decreased. The new 300 for me is great, light and small, comparable in size to the 180 AFD.
I had no problems, and I found myself very well. I compared, using a tripod, this new 300
TC 17E II vs + 500 / N f 8, and this new lens also duplicated 1.7x is higher than the excellent 500 catadioptric.
Besides weight and dimensions they are very similar. For this I complimented your shooting obtained with a lens
quality below 300 Fresnel.
Carlo greetings

Thanks Cristian.
It 'a picture that appeals to me not so much for the picture itself but for the pleasure
to have discovered the goodness of an old goal.
As mentioned above, in response to another user, the lens used is an old
Reflex 500mm f / 8 quite difficult to use.

Thanks again, Antonio

Thank you Claudio.
Your opinion is particularly appreciated for 2 reasons: it is a photo from 13 years ago and I like it too because
I had used a 500mm mirror that is notoriously difficult if used by hand! But sometimes you are lucky!!
Kind regards, Antonio

Hello, I know that lens by reputation and from the review of the same I arrived at the photo, which amazed me because it seems to be made with other more "canonical" means. The fact that it is x years old is irrelevant, a good photo is like a great piece of music from the 70s, it always counts.

Yes Claudio. 30 years ago it was a great goal for what it cost and for what it yielded. But after
the advent of autofocus and VR on long canvases, this small retro-reflector has become a showcase object.
As soon as I bought it (15 years ago), I used it every now and then. Now it keeps company with other ghosts of the past
(300, 180, 85, 55, 35, 24mm, all manual focus) that are on display in a showcase.
I don't sell him or the others for an emotional reason. They are the toys of us adults... :-D :-D!!
Again best regards, Antonio
