Hyde, Bunch, Carmel, Beppe thank you very much for your appreciation.
Roberto, thank you for visita.Sarà was the excitement as you say but the day after a good part of the group with whom I traveled was the victim of a mega attack of dysentery which has devastated:-D
It 'was a day that we will remember perhaps more than that fantastic starry sky.
But in all seriousness I have never in my life seen the stars so bright and clear, the Milky Way stood out clearly with the naked eye just raised your head without much to go and try to look like in our country.

Ciao Vincenzo.

Hello Simone, lately people are talking about growth photography and often unnecessary comments.
I state that I really like your picture and even more I like the caption with which you explained the shot.
I would be grateful (of course if you like) if you explain to me (if there's a technical reason) because for the double exposure you have been using iso (a noise hazard but in this case I do not see) and not time and / or diaphragms .
Hello Vincenzo.

Ciao

Vincenzo Sorry, but I do not think you fully understand the question, but I try to answer the stesso.L 'exposure to the sky to get a Milky Way is clearly visible to the experience of our skies ISO 3200 f2, 8 and 30 sec course with a 14mm focal length. By this time it was at the limit for the stars puntiformi.Se raddoppiassi the focal think I should halve the time it is a proof that I never fatto.Qui among other things, being as I have said on other occasions a photo taken in 4000 meters high with a clear sky and the Milky Way easily distinguishable to the naked eye I could reduce or iso or times as it were, a stop to get the same result you would get if you did the same photos on our montagne.Per the first floor which was well lit, I did not need so much sensitivity also because the curtains were practically immobile and anthat would not take me long pose problems of camera shake, so after some field tests I opted for ISO 200 to get the file as clean as possible and have more margin to recover the highlights, 30 sec because I was in no wind ef 2.8 because I did not need depth of field because I would have used the frame to the tende.Certo I could also use a 400 iso 0800 that he would not see much noise (the D700 for me still remains unbeatable for this) and close the aperture a couple of stops to improve the sharpness, but (apart from the satisfaction that I get from the monster that is the goal of 14/24) for a night shot I think is not so crucial.
As usual, the gift of synthesis is not my forte but I hope I have answered your question.
it is understood that notbeing a super expert in photography to get this image someone else probably would have acted differently and maybe he would get a better picture.
For noise do not be fooled by compression and reduction for the web that solves many magagne.Il noise in the sky even though there still is not annoying.

Ciao
Vincenzo

Hello, I have not ever tried to photograph the night sky (in fact once but with poor results) and therefore also my questions may seem badly placed.
Anyway thanks, I realized that the iso 3200 to 2.8 with 30 seconds represent a fairly standard established by you to photograph the sky .... of course as soon as the opportunity arises I'll try too ..... then maybe experiment with something else.
That was what interested me, as far as the curtains thanks for the further explanation although who knows if I will be in a similar situation.
Hello
Vincenzo
