Chioggia between sky and sea sent on 17 Maggio 2026 (20:56) by Marcello del Vecchio. 33 comments, 350 views.

at 12mm, 1/320 f/5.6, ISO 200, hand held. Chioggia, Italy.

Fantastic!! I like the idea of having placed the reflected image at the top and the "real" one at the bottom 8-)

Stearm, thank you very much for the beautiful words.
The field of perceptual photography has obviously also been very well trodden but it is a practically endless field where there is still plenty of room to exercise personal interpretations. You have to want to have it and intuition, it is a mental switch even before it is photographic. But there is a great space still unexplored.

Thank you Sergio for the appreciation, if you notice carefully you will see that the two images in many details are not at all mirrored and this increases the sense of disorientation.

Yes, in fact the façade of the buildings in the reflected part is less visible
compared to the real one, an effect due to the point of shooting. ;-)
