Migliaia di zebre ammassate, una addosso all’altra, quasi a formare un corpo unico, in un momento della grande migrazione annuale tra Kenya e Tanzania che coinvolge milioni di animali, per tre quarti gnu, il resto zebre e gazzelle. Seguono l’andamento delle piogge alla ricerca di erba fresca, acqua e aree adatte al parto. Le zebre qui ritratte sono solo l’avanguardia. Dietro di loro il gruppo si sfilaccia in una lunga fila che si perde all’orizzonte. Il terreno impregnato d’acqua per le grandi piogge in pochi giorni si è fatto secco e l’aria è satura della polvere sollevata dai loro zoccoli.
