Available on my website: https://robertopazziphoto.com The congregation of the Fifohazana (awakening) movement is part of an indigenous Christian revival that began in the late nineteenth century with Rainisoalambo. It is integrated within the Malagasy Lutheran Church, which has more than 5 million members and thousands of congregations. Believers are consecrated laypersons trained at revival centers called 'toby'. This movement emphasizes spiritual healing, exorcism, service to the poor and sick, daily communal prayer, Bible study. In the Fifohazana tradition, Sunday worship is a deeply ritualized and communal event in which all participants dress in pure white garments as a sign of spiritual cleanliness and purity, a practice that carries profound symbolic meaning.
