In questo scatto ho voluto (umilmente) cercare di riprodurre la tecnica del Chiaroscuro nata nella pittura rinascimentale e adattarla alla fotografia e che si basa su un forte e definito contrasto tra zone illuminate e zone in ombra profonda. L'obiettivo è creare volume, profondità e soprattutto un atmosfera drammatica e intensa ( ....spero almeno di essermi avvicinato un pochino!). L'illuminazione drammatica, posizionata lateralmente, definisce la silhouette del naso (con piercing dei nostri tempi!) e la linea della mascella contro uno sfondo nero profondo. L'elemento catalizzatore è lo sguardo: l'occhio sinistro è illuminato con cura per rivelare un'iride ambrata-dorata vivida, quasi magnetica, con un riflesso netto. I capelli ramati catturano la luce sui bordi, creando riflessi dorati caldi che contrastano con l'oscurità del viso.
