Cerco di rispondere Merak.dubhe e vediamo se riesco a togliere il dubbio dei 5 sec (.....anche un altro fotografo aveva sollevato questo dubbio su un altro scatto della galleria).

La tecnica si basa sulla collisione tra una goccia che cade e una che rimbalza. Si lavora al buio (almeno quello che faccio io e che a mio avviso fornisce i migliori risultati), lasciando l'otturatore aperto e usando il flash come un "otturatore elettronico" istantaneo per congelare il movimento.

Quindi lavoro al buio totale Eeeek!!!

: il tempo di 5 secondi (ma può essere tranquillamente anche 8-10 sec se riusciamo ad avere una totale oscurità della sala) serve solo a tenere l'otturatore aperto mentre faccio cadere la goccia. Non è la fotocamera a 'congelare' il movimento, ma il lampo istantaneo del flash, che è molto più veloce di qualsiasi otturatore. Ossia è la brevissima durata del lampo flash (ad esempio parliamo di 1/20.000 di secondo) che è l'unica fonte di luce ad immortalare la goccia che rimbalza e che ad occhio nudo facciamo fatica a vedere. In sostanza è la luce del flash quella che 'ferma' il tempo, si richiede molta molta pazienza perchè la profondità di campo è come lo spessore un foglio di carta e gli 'sfocati' sono all'ordine del giorno. Per ottenere un buon scatto ne servono in media un centinaio. Eeeek!!!
