Ho conosciuto personalmente questa monaca buddista dell'ordine Drukpa che ci ha parlato del suo viaggio in bicicletta. Non una, non dieci, ma 500 monache sono salite in bicicletta per attraversare l'Himalaya, da Kathmandu a Leh, dal Nepal al Ladakh indiano. 4000 km in bicicletta per denunciare il traffico di esseri umani. Un viaggio simbolico, ma anche concreto visto gli aiuti portati dalle monache ai villaggi sulla strada, che dimostra l'energia di queste donne che ogni giorno combattono per l'eguaglianza dei generi e per il rispetto dei diritti umani.
