Anche lui ormai si appresta ad iniziare un nuovo anno, l'ennesimo, e chissà quante avversità ha dovuto affrontare, venti da ogni dove, ma soprattutto il maestrale, si evince anche dalla sua inclinazione tipica di tutti gli alberi in Sardegna esposti nelle coste, forte e impetuoso, oltre ad altri eventi atmosferici di forte intensità, e le mareggiate, da dove si elevano i pulviscoli di acqua salata che si depositano sui rami e nelle radici. Lui, con la sua folta chioma ( che assomiglia quasi per ironia a " sa berritta" il tipico copricapo dei costumi sardi maschili), le sue lunghe radici intresecate nelle rocce di granito ocra intenso, che rimane avvinghiato alle rocce e al suolo per resistere ancora nel tempo, finché anche la natura farà il suo corso. Ma fino ad allora è come voler dire " Io non mollo!" Quando posso, vado sempre a vedere se questo splendido esemplare di Juniperus turbinata o ginepro turbinato è ancora lì, e trovarlo ogni volta è una grande emozione! Che l'anno nuovo sia per tutti tenace e resiliente come questo ginepro, un caro saluto e buon anno, Lucia.
