Domenica scorsa a Foiano della Chiana si è concluso il carnevale, il paese vive tutto l'anno nella costruzione dei giganti di cartapesta e protrae oltre l'impossibile la data di chiusura, come la vicina Siena con il Palio, anche a Foiano la manifestazione coinvolge i cantieristi tutto l'anno e la festa esplode l'ultimo giorno. Grazie al comitato del carnevale viene organizzata la "scoriandolata" che coinvolge il popolo di Re Giocondo, che si sommerge sotto una coltre di coriandoli, il racconto del primo commento da conferma dello svolgimento della giornata.

La mattina i "giganti" vengono portati in piazza nel centro storico, per allietare i visitatori che arrivano con pullman, camper e auto proprie, dopo pranzo parte lo spettacolo delle sfilate dei carri con le mascherate, liberato il passaggio il comitato del carnevale inizia lo spettacolo della "scoriandolata" qui sotto salutano il popolo di Regiocondo dalla terrazza ed inizia il lancio di sacchetti di plastica pieni di coriandoli

Lo speaker scandisce i tempi dell'attesa, mentre i ragazzi bombardano dall'altro i partecipanti sotto con lanci dei sacchetti
Quando tutto è pronto lo speaker si raccomanda che tutti lancino nel medesimo momento il contenuto dei coriandoli, dalle immagini potete capire di cosa sto parlando, la piazza ed i partecipanti vengono sommersi da un mare di coriandoli

Terminata l'esplosione contagiosa della "scoriandolata" che dura alcuni minuti il comitato inizia a lanciare dalla terrazza un'infinità di gadget di piccoli gonfiabili e palloni di varie misure e colori rienpiendo il cielo

In conclusione, come negli spettacoli di fuochi d'artificio, arriva l'esplosione delle stelle filanti e complice il vento riempiono tutta la piazza in un culmine di euforia contagiosa

Con l'arrivo dell'oscurità l'attenzione si sposta sulla premiazione, dopo il funerale di Re Giocondo che verrà dato alle fiamme il verdetto della giuria è implacabile, solo uno vincerà, si parte dal quarto classificato, ma giunti al secondo posto in classifica i primi autonomamente sono i vincitori del concorso, ed allora la festa esplode in tutta la sua potenza, le immagini parlano da sole, il Cantiere di Bombolo è il vincitore per tutto l'anno solare, l'appuntamento al prossimo Carnevale

La coppa, la festa, i fuochi, tanta tanta voglia di festeggiare per tutta la notte

Il paese si è svuotato e la festa è terminata, rimane il luccichio dei coriandoli plastificati e pochi festeggianti, tutto questo ritornerà il prossimo anno. Per festeggiare nel paese del carnevale Ci sarà l'edizione estiva ma non ci sarà nessun premio, solo voglia di festeggiare.
