La mostra Steve McCurry Texture indaga il rapporto intrinseco tra l'essere umano e il modo di vestire, acconciarsi e apparire. Il celebre fotografo umanista americano, attraverso il suo potente obiettivo, accompagna i visitatori in un viaggio che documenta etnie, popoli e culture differenti. Cento scatti selezionati, tra immagini iconiche e fotografie inedite, in un percorso espositivo in grado di dialogare profondamente con l'anima del Filatoio – uno dei più antichi setifici meglio conservati d'Europa – e i preziosi tessuti della Fondazione Antonio Ratti. Una narrazione che parte da una sezione dedicata al tema della manifattura e della produzione e prosegue con una galleria dei più famosi ritratti di Steve McCurry, in cui i soggetti ripresi esprimono con fierezza il loro “essere” tanto nei ricchi abiti tibetani quanto nelle più semplici vesti dei rifugiati afgani, come nel caso dell'icona Sharbat Gula. L'esposizione, infine, consente di ritrovare tutte le più celebri fotografie di McCurry in una vera e propria retrospettiva dei suoi molteplici progetti.
